Leadership

Dan Danila, MD, FACP

As a physician, I have always searched for providing the best care and ensuring the best outcomes for my patients. As hospital medicine has evolved over the years, telemedicine has become the next step a hospitalist physician to embrace. Due to the technological boom in the world of medicine and having all the information and data available in detail before a patient interaction, the need for a face to face interaction has been easily replaced by a video interface combined to direct access to the electronic medical record. Supervising allied health practitioners engaged in the practice of hospital medicine is now an easy reality via the telemedicine platform. This is an inevitable trend in hospital medicine. I find this trend exciting and innovative!

I always felt the need that a physician not only needs to stay abreast with a latest medical developments, but also with the technological innovations to provide high quality, safe, efficient and cost effective patient care. As medicine evolves, we must evolve with it!
